Description
A Renowned First Flush
Margaret's Hope Tea Estate is one of Darjeeling's most prestigious tea gardens. This tea showcases the expertise of this historic estate through a traditional-style Grand Cru that will delight lovers of bold, full-bodied teas.
This exceptional first flush reveals intense vegetal and almond notes, followed by a powerful, elegant finish with remarkable length on the palate.
The Story Behind It
Margaret's Hope is one of the oldest tea estates in Darjeeling. Originally known as Ringtong, it was later renamed in honour of Margaret, the daughter of its British owner.
Captivated by the beauty of the region during her visit, Margaret dreamed of settling there permanently. She returned to England to prepare her move to India, but sadly fell seriously ill and passed away before she could fulfil her dream.
In her memory, her father renamed the estate Margaret's Hope.
An exceptional tea to enjoy while letting your thoughts wander through the lush gardens of Darjeeling and dreaming of life's most cherished aspirations.
