This matcha beginner's set combines all the instruments required to prepare matcha tea in the Japanese way:

• The chawan bowl with its rounded design supports ideal preparation and an exquisite drinking experience.
• The wooden scoop, known as chashaku in Japanese, makes it simple to portion the precise quantity of matcha.
• The time honoured chasen whisk transforms the tea powder and water into a silky, perfectly dispersed foam.

Matcha preparation

1. Add 2 scoops (equivalent to one level teaspoon) of matcha to the bowl.
2. Pour 5 cl of water brought to 70 °C over the powder.
3. Grip the bowl in one hand and whisk the matcha vigorously with the bamboo whisk (moving in a W pattern along the bowl's bottom) until a velvety foam develops. Now it is ready to savour!

To make a matcha latte, incorporate 10 cl of milk (either dairy or plant based), first aerated using an electric milk frother.
