Description
Delicious little nests of compressed pu erh
This tea is produced in China, in the Yunnan region. It is a pu erh shu — in other words, a tea whose fermentation process has been accelerated.
Drawn from mengku tea plants grown at altitudes of between 1,600 and 1,800 metres, the leaves are compressed into the shape of little bird's nests, known as "tuo cha" in Chinese.
A sweet pu erh shu that reveals woody and vanilla notes, along with hints of earth and humus, over a smooth texture.
Each mini tuo cha is a small compressed nest of 5 g. Our 100 g pouches therefore contain 20 of them. To bring out the full aromatic complexity of this tea, favour multiple infusions using gong fu cha, the traditional Chinese method.
The benefits of dark teas
This tea belongs to the family of dark teas, which means it can evolve over time without deteriorating, growing better with age. Chinese medicine attributes many benefits to these teas: aiding digestion, purifying the body, and dispelling the effects of alcohol. A tea to enjoy regularly and without moderation!
