Description
A rare and distinctive fermented tea
This pu erh shu represents a cooked, fermented tea produced in Yunnan, China. The blend originates from assamica tea plants.
Throughout the fermentation stage of pu erh shu, certain leaves bond together and create solid blocks that remain intact across multiple brewing sessions: these compressed pieces are called Lao Cha Tou.
A full bodied, sweetened pu erh shu with flavour profiles reminiscent of vanilla pods, forest mushrooms and timber notes. A precious Grand Cru!
To unlock the complete aromatic nuances of this tea, embrace successive infusions employing gong fu cha, the traditional Chinese brewing approach.
The advantages of dark teas
This tea belongs to the dark tea category, meaning it develops gracefully over time without degrading, improving as years pass. Traditional Chinese medicine recognises dark teas as conferring numerous advantages: supporting digestive function, cleansing the system, and counteracting alcohol's lingering effects. A tea to consume regularly and with enthusiasm!
