Description

A superb Korean spring black tea

While South Korea is primarily celebrated for its green teas, it also creates outstanding black teas, such as this sejak made by the Choi family. Picked in late April, the leaves benefit from qualities inherent to one of Boseong's most exceptional terroirs. A superb sejak!

This Grand Cru displays rich honeyed, fruity and caramel characteristics, transitioning into a finish with cocoa undertones.

This tea is produced under organic cultivation practices and holds certification from an authorised independent inspection authority.

The Choi family, craftspeople across 5 generations

In the Boseong area, southern region of the country, Yeong Gi Choi carries on, alongside his wife and sons, a family heritage starting in 1937. The outcome is limited production, predominantly organic, encompassing herbal infusions as well as outstanding green, black and dark teas.
