Description
A cocoa tea from Colombia
In the heart of the Cauca valley in western Colombia, this black tea is elevated through the inclusion of cocoa nibs, which impart a striking chocolate character. The perfect selection for a luxurious pause!
The refinement of this certified organic black tea merges beautifully with the cocoa nibs, creating a sumptuous tea characterised by pronounced chocolate undertones.
This tea originates from a modest farming collective situated at 2,100 metres in elevation. Composed of twenty dedicated workers, it collectively endeavours to secure all nearby residents with access to potable water, electrical power and educational scholarships. The perpetual morning fog supports the gradual development of tea plants, whilst midday sunlight contributes to the nuanced enhancement of the tea's aromatic profile.
The property encompasses 200 hectares, with merely 70 hectares allocated to tea cultivation. Scattered between the cultivation zones are forested sections that constitute an authentic nature sanctuary, hosting upwards of 176 distinct animal and plant species.
