Description

This cast iron teapot represents the accumulated mastery developed over centuries at the WAZUQU foundry.

The Japanese name Muji translates to "plain, without pattern" and signals its restrained, unadorned aesthetic that allows the material to occupy the foreground, endowing the piece with sophisticated appeal. This design philosophy aligns with the aesthetic and spiritual concept of wabi-sabi, which originates from the tea ceremony. Wabi captures beauty in its simplest manifestation, occasionally bearing the marks of imperfection, while sabi honors the grace that objects acquire as they age.

Equipped with a delicately contoured spout for precise pouring and a stainless steel filter, the Muji teapot seamlessly merges utility with elegance.

Wazuqu teapots are a pleasure to use and weigh approximately 25 percent less on average than conventional Japanese cast iron teapots, reflecting over four centuries of refinement in Japanese craftsmanship.
