Description
Drawn from a shrub of the Fabaceae family, rooibos is often called "red bush tea", even though it does not come from the tea plant.
Rooibos Khoisan owes its name to the Khoikhoi and San peoples – the earliest inhabitants of the Cederberg region in South Africa – who preserved and passed on the traditional uses of this plant.
In this arid terroir, germination is triggered by fire, which awakens the dormant seeds. Its flamboyant crimson hue reflects the fire-marked earth that nourished it. A fresh, light rooibos, smooth on the palate with a gentle natural sweetness, ideal as an evening cup.
This rooibos is grown organically and certified by an accredited independent certification body.
