Description
Le Thé Guimet is a sophisticated green tea blend offering fresh, floral scents reminiscent of cherry blossoms and citrus. Delicate cornflower petals provide a refined accent to this thoughtfully crafted blend.
This tea was conceived in homage to Emile Guimet, the founder of the museum bearing his name. The cornflower petals reference "Guimet blue", also termed "synthetic ultramarine", an innovation developed by Jean-Baptiste Guimet, Emile's father.
The citrus and cherry blossom notes recall the Japanese era during which Emile Guimet commenced gathering the earliest pieces that would eventually become one of France's most prestigious collections of Asian civilization.
Suggestion of preparation
To prepare hot tea:
Steep 8g (0.28OZ) in 50cl of filtered water at 75°C – 170°F during 3 minutes.
