Bodhi leaves - set of 2

In the Gong Fu Cha method, a bodhi leaf can be placed on the fairness pitcher or on the cup to filter the tea poured from the teapot or gaiwan. The liquor is thus free of any leaf fragments.

These leaves come from the sacred fig, a tree of importance to Buddhism, as it was beneath such a tree that the Buddha attained Awakening. A piece of bamboo engraved with a few verses of a poem is attached to the base of each dried leaf. In Buddhism, these verses can be read as: "Awakening is within reach: a spark of Awakening is Awakening itself".

Sold in pairs and packaged in protective card, bodhi leaves can be reused several times if handled with care.
