Description
A celebrated oolong from Fujian, Anxi tie guan yin is recognised across the tea world. Its lightly oxidised leaves, painstakingly shaped into pearls, give up a beautiful floral bouquet.
The name is closely linked to the district of Anxi, a region known for floral oolongs that stand apart from the more roasted oolong styles produced nearby.
The leaves come from the same tea plants used for the original tie guan yin; once gently oxidised, they are rolled into small pearls. Brewed using the gong fu cha method, they gradually unfurl, revealing new subtleties with each infusion.
